Delete Your Account & Data

You can permanently delete your BillCraft account and the data associated with it at any time. This page explains both options — deleting from inside the app (fastest) and requesting deletion by email — and exactly what gets removed.
Option 1 — Delete from inside the app (recommended)
- Open BillCraft on your Android device.
- Tap the Settings (⚙️) icon in the top-right corner of the home screen.
- Scroll down to Account and tap Delete Account.
- Confirm twice. The action is irreversible.
The deletion runs immediately — your profile, saved bill data, and notification token are removed before the app signs you out.
Option 2 — Request deletion by email
If you cannot access the app for any reason (lost device, uninstalled, etc.), email us from the address tied to your BillCraft account:

Subject: Delete My BillCraft Account
Body: please include the Google email you signed in with, so we can verify and locate your account.
We process email-based deletion requests within 30 days. We will reply once your account is removed.
What gets deleted
- Your profile in Firebase Cloud Firestore (
/users/{your-uid}) — name, email, photo URL, sequential customer ID, sign-in metadata. - Your saved bill metadata and form data stored in Firestore under your account.
- Your Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) device token — you will stop receiving notifications immediately.
- Any logos or signature images you uploaded to Firebase Storage under your user folder.
- Any analytics user-properties keyed to your user ID.
What is not affected
- PDFs already saved on your device. These are stored in your device's local file system, never uploaded to us. To remove them, delete them from the app's Saved Bills tab or uninstall the app.
- Email or support correspondence with us may be retained for up to 24 months for legal and abuse-prevention reasons, after which it is purged.
- Aggregate, fully-anonymized analytics (event counts that cannot be tied back to you) may persist as part of overall usage statistics.
Backups
Routine encrypted backups maintained by Firebase may retain a copy of your data for a short additional period (typically ≤ 30 days) and are then overwritten as backups rotate. We do not access these backups except for disaster recovery.
Stopping ads and notifications without deleting your account
If you only want to stop personalized advertising or notifications without deleting your account, you do not need to delete your account:
- Ads: Android → Settings → Google → Ads → "Reset advertising ID" or "Opt out of Ads Personalization".
- Notifications: Android → Settings → Apps → BillCraft → Notifications → Turn off.
